Cherry Waldorf Salad

This is one of the dishes from last Sunday. I am pretty sure I didn't follow the recipe exactly and I've already adjusted to reflect most of the changes, but I can't remember if I put the honey in the salad or not. I'm pretty sure I did. I'm also pretty sure I failed to put in any salt. This is probably one of the better Waldorf salads I've ever had, but fresh cherries in December aren't exactly cheap (or tart). Tart cherries would have been better, and I'm not entirely certain fresh is necessary for a recipe like this, but the salad still turned out well. I would definitely make it again. There wasn't any left after six adults and a toddler had their way with it.

2 granny smith apples, chopped
1 Tbs lemon juice
1/4 cup chopped celery
1 cup pitted cherries
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream
2 Tbs honey
1/8 teaspoon salt

In a large bowl, toss apples and lemon juice. Add celery, cherries, cranberries, and walnuts. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, honey, and salt until well blended. Pour over salad and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
